Celebrating a Life

Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the life celebration (otherwise known as a funeral) of Mr. Clarence L. Thomason of Warren, AR. I regret that I did not know Mr. Thomason personally. I was there to pay my respects on behalf of one of his grandsons, my student, friend, and soon to be colleague, Justin Anders. But, Mr. Thomason was surely a man worth knowing. His funeral revealed him to be a great man of God, with a testimony that blessed my heart. His love for God, his family, and his country made it quite clear to me how much Justin and the rest of their family will miss Mr. Clarence. He was also an American Hero, a veteran of WW II. I left the funeral honored to have been in attendance.
